Surrounded by the etchings (of Venice) by artists including Ernest Roth, the museum kicks off Shakespeare on a Summer’s Night — a unique theatre event featuring a professional play reading of the Merchant of Venice. Directed by Ed Wierzbicki and performed by a company of
talented actors gathered specifically for this event. Bring your own copy of the play and follow along! While we can’t promise you that romantic gondola ride down the canals, you can bet there’ll be a wonderful vibe that results when literature, art and performance collaborate! The performance will be followed by a reception.
