Watermark University Kick Off

The Watermark at East Hill is pleased to announce its Watermark University fall semester course catalog is now available to seniors from the Greater Southbury area.  Watermark University is a continuing education program designed with interesting topics and activities to keep seniors’ minds and bodies fit. 

Seniors will have the opportunity to see select brain and body fitness classes live in action, meet instructors, and sign up for fall classes at Watermark University’s kick-off event on Thursday, September 22, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the retirement community located in Southbury.  The event will include light seasonal refreshments, door prizes and giveaways, and fall course catalogs will be available.  Guests are required to RSVP by Monday, September 19. 

Watermark University offers a wide range of courses, including “Everything Football” with Joe Sanzari, Sales Director at The Watermark at East Hill.  On the third Friday of every month, Sanzari will lead discussions on both the National Football League and college football.

Another course is “Reverse Glass Tinsel Painting” with instructor May Bernhard.  Students will have the opportunity to learn this Victorian art form technique, as well as German paper cutting, or Scherrenshnitten.
