Extending the Greenway in Southbury

This gives Southbury an important easement on 12 acres of land.

Extending the Greenway: Thursday morning Southbury signed the conservation easement agreement with Rob LaFlamme.

“This will provide the town with an important easement on about 12 acres of land abutting the Pomperaug River behind the new movie theater,” said First Selectman Ed Edelson via his Facebook page.

“This extends the area that protects the river banks as envisioned when we applied for Greenway status. It also provides an important link between the Southbury Land Trust property and Main Street South.
