Former Southbury Teacher Pleads Not Guilty

A 32-year-old former Pomperaug High School teacher and coach, charged with giving alcohol to her students, pleaded not guilty to the charges Thursday.

Jennifer Jackson was in Superior Court in Waterbury, where she entered the pleas to the three charges, which include two misdemeanors and one felony, against her.

She was charged by Watertown police for second-degree reckless endangerment and illegal sale of alcohol to a minor for Feb. 2 incidents, according to court records.

Southbury police charged her for the Feb. 5 felony of illegal delivery of liquor to a minor, according to court documents.

A judge continued her court case to Sept. 20.
