Four Pomperaug HS Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

SOUTHBURY, CT — Four Pomperaug High School students were recognized as 2020 National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. Winson Chen, Caroline DePalma, Michelle Lu, and Giovanni Romano are all seniors at the high school.

Semifinalists represent less than one percent of the U.S. high school senior population and are the highest scorers on the Preliminary SAT.

The students will find out in February if they advance to finalist standing through the National Merit Scholarship Program.
