The meeting will be on November 6, 2014 at 7 PM at 17 Gettysburg Rd., Southbury, CT, in the Traditions development.

Ms. Weitz says, “Did you know your child might be eligible for art therapy, music therapy, social skills training, individual support during extracurricular activities, special transportation and more—at no cost to you?” The seminar is open to everyone. After the seminar there will be an opportunity for discussion and questions. There will be free refreshments. Registration is not required, but would be appreciated. For questions, information, and to register, please contact Kim McNeill at 203-405-2239 or email kimbelry_anne_mcneill@yahoo.com.

“I am looking forward to learning and sharing strategies, successes, and struggles with fellow parents who want what’s best and fair for their kids with disabilities. Because it’s a local group, we can share tips specific to local schools,” said Kim McNeill, a member. “Not everyone realizes what schools are obligated to do for children from anti-discrimination laws that can help discover if a child is disabled and has special needs to providing services, support, and curriculum modification. It can be an a real eye-opener.”
