Full-Time Paramedic Sought For Southbury: Report
Currently, the town relies on a paramedic from Waterbury.

SOUTHBURY, CT — An online petition seeks to persuade Southbury officials to station a paramedic in the town, instead of relying on one from Waterbury.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the petition had 318 signatures toward a goal of 500. The Southbury Board of Selectmen are scheduled to vote Thursday on a new paramedic contract that would continue operations in Waterbury, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.
"For serious / critical calls, seconds matter and the 19,000+ residents of Southbury deserve to have Advanced Life Support in closer proximity to them," the petition states.
