Tickets available now! This play-within-a-play is set in the late 1940s with costumes reflecting that period. It's a "radio-on-stage" production, recreating a live radio studio drama like ones that were performed during the 1940s-1950s, the golden age of radio, (before television took over and had us glued to the small screen). Actors stand at mics, scripts in hand, and dramatize their assigned roles with high energy (and fun)!

In addition to the character actors, a "walla-walla chorus", a group of on-stage actors, will add volume and presence to the many crowd scenes. Live sound effects will be handled by two members sitting at a front-of-stage table laden with noise-making objects that contribute to the overall performance. Audience members will greatly enjoy watching these performers do their thing.

Plus, pre-recorded sound effects - SFX (sound effects) consist of some difficult-to-reproduce effects, such as breaking glass. There's also pre-recorded music. Both are handled by two players sitting at a table on stage working digital recorders. Okay, so there's a lot happening on the stage, with a lot of players, but that's not all...There are also live commercials sung by a quartet to musically enhance the spirit of the show.

Buy your tickets soon, for a show you will remember for years! Tickets are $15 each, and are available at the Activities Desk, Heritage Village, Southbury CT.
