Historic Union Chapel Building in Southbury Won't Be Relocated for Gas Station/Convenience Store Proposal: Report
The developer on the project has pledged to work with town officials to address concerns before a vote is taken.

SOUTHBURY, CT - The developer of a proposed Wheels gas station and convenience store at 1141 Southford Road has pledged to work with town officials to make the project a reality.
Cooperative steps include not relocating the historic Union Chapel building, the Republican-American reports.
The original plan called for the chapel to be moved as part of the drainage proposal, but that will now be modified, the Rep-Am reports.

Plans include a 3,400-square-foot convenience store featuring four gas pumps, eight filling stations and a canopy. It would operate 24/7. The next hearing is scheduled for June 21.
