Human Remains Found During Missing Person Search In Southbury

SOUTHBURY, CT — Human skeletal remains were discovered near Berkshire Road in Southbury this week when state and local police resumed a search for Mark Gasso, who has been missing since April.

Whether the remains are that of Gasso was not disclosed; the remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and will be examined to determine the identity.

Authorities resumed the search for Gasso because the fallen foliage helped enhance visibility. The discovery was made just before 10 a.m. in a wooded area just off the road.

Gasso was last seen on April 16, but was reported missing on April 19.
