Important Message About School Tomorrow for Region 15
The school superintendent has released a statement about school on Friday.

A message sent this evening, March 8th, from the Region 15 Superintendent of Schools re: Downed Power Lines and Transit to School,
Dear Region 15 Parents and Guardians,
Both Southbury and Middlebury continue to deal with power outages and downed trees. The Region 15 buses will attempt to route around any downed power lines or other obstacles in an attempt to follow their routes, and their pickups, as closely as possible tomorrow and until all issues are resolved.

Be advised, however, that children cannot walk past or stand near any downed power lines, nor can our buses drive past them or stop near them.
If you are concerned about transit to school tomorrow, and if you can safely do so, it might be best to drive your child to school. If that’s not possible, you may call your child’s school to report an excused absence.

We understand Eversource is aware of the situation, and we will have to navigate safely until the issues are resolved.
Thank you.

Superintendent
