There truly is “no place like the Shubert” for holiday entertainment when the beloved family musical, THE WIZARD OF OZ, touches down in New Haven for a special Christmas-week engagement December 27–30, 2018. The seven performances run Thursday 7:30pm, Friday 2:00 & 7:30pm, Saturday 2:00 & 7:30pm and Sunday 1:00 & 6:30pm. This magical production is a celebration of the iconic 1939 MGM movie and will blow you away from the moment the tornado touches down and transports you to a dazzling art deco Oz, complete with munchkins and flying monkeys. Join Dorothy and Toto as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road and beyond with their friends the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and Scarecrow in this lavish production, featuring breathtaking special effects and dazzling choreography.

Leading the cast as Dorothy is KALIE KAIMANN joined by JACK SALEEBY in the role of Scarecrow/Hunk, NICK GURINSKY as the Tinman/Hickory and NICHOLAS J. PEARSON will portray the Lion/Zeke. EMILY PERZAN will play the roles of Miss Gulch and the Wicked Witch of the West.
Featuring the classic songs, as composed by Harold Arlen, “Over the Rainbow,” “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead” and “If I Only Had A Brain,” THE WIZARD OF OZ will have the entire family captivated as they experience this national treasure live on stage.
