Loose Dog Stops Traffic On I-84: State Police
The incident, which began on Route 8, occurred just before midnight on Feb. 14.

SOUTHBURY, CT — A dog that wondered onto the median of Route 8 and then onto I-84 late Tuesday night temporarily shut down traffic while troopers tried to capture it, according to Facebook post from Connecticut State Police.
The incident occurred just before midnight and took a couple of tractor trailer trucks to assist state police from Southbury's Troop A in stopping traffic until the dog was safely caught.
"Upon questioning, the suspect would only pant, however troopers were able to positively identify her and turn her over to the custody of her parents," joked state police. "The suspect was issued a warning for Excessive Deposit of Fur by a Canine."
