Malloy: Southbury Training School Closure Needs More Thought

The governor said cost savings might not be realized if the facility is shuttered.

Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy said he initially supported closing the Southbury Training School, but a visit to the 1,400-acre facility shook his resolve, according to an article on Fox61.com.

The General Assembly’s recently passed budget-cutting bill calls for closure, but Malloy now says the cost savings may not be what people are assuming.
