Man Drove While Under the Influence of Drugs in Southbury; Friend Calls 911 to Report Him: Report

The friend told police he was in fear of his life, according to the report.

Southbury, CT - A Bridgeport man who was allegedly under the influence of PCP was driving in excess of 100 mph at times on Interstate 84 near Exit 15 early Sunday in Southbury, the Republican-American reports.

The man's friend called 911 fearing for his life, the Rep-Am reports. The car driven by Peter W. Charles, 32, of Park Avenue, was stopped near Exit 14, police said.

Charles told police that he and his friend just went for a drive and were trying to get back home, but police say Charles appeared "very dazed" and under the influence, the Rep-Am reports. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and more.
