Man Possessed Marijuana Inside Vehicle In Southbury: Report

A police officer stopped the car after seeing a headlight was out, which led to the discovery of marijuana, the report states.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Christopher J. Sweeney, 39, of Timber Hill Road in Prospect is charged with marijuana possession and possession of drugs with intent to sell after a police officer noticed him leaving a Southbury business with a headline out and stopped the vehicle last Wednesday, the Republican-American reports.

The Rep-Am states that an officer found “multiple edible cannabis substances, 50.9 grams of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana," and other items in the vehicle. He was given a $2,500 bond.
