Milford Police: Southbury Man Rented 2 Cars, Never Returned Them

According to their ad, Enterprise Car Rental will pick you up but not if you allegedly take their cars and never return them.

Well that is what Milford police is saying happened.

In July 2014 Mark Shapiro, 62, of Old Poverty Road in Southbury, rented two vehicles from Enterprise Rental located at 579 Bridgeport Avenue, police said.

The contract for the vehicles expired in September of 2014 and Shapiro allegedly never returned the cars nor made any payment for the vehicles. Investigation led to warrants being issued and he was charged with two counts of second-degree larceny.

He was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on March 10.
