National Retailer To Open Southbury Store: Report

SOUTHBURY, CT — Michaels, a national arts and crafts store, is planning to open a store in Southbury Plaza, according to The Waterbury Republican-American. The space the retailer will lease has been vacant since Kmart departed in 2017.

Town officials reportedly confirmed the deal last week, and Michaels will open next to the Ulta beauty store.

Two other large spaces in the former Kmart lower level remain vacant.

According to its website, Michaels has locations in these towns:
