New Business Opening in Southbury

Window Products Awning, Blind & Shade Company welcomes the community to attend a special grand opening event on Saturday, May 30th celebrating the opening of their new store at 250 Main Street South.

The fun and festivities will start 10 AM, with complimentary food and beverages being served and a raffle being held for great prizes and coupons.

At 12:30 pm, First Selectman Ed Edelson will cut the ribbon, officially opening the store for business in the greater Southbury area. The event will end at 3 PM.

“This is a great opportunity to come see our spacious new showroom, have some food and fun and see our full line of Hunter Douglas products,” says store owner Ross Tannenbaum in a prepared statement. “We also have some great new awning products to keep folks cool and comfortable on their patios or decks this summer, and custom cloth fabrics in hundreds of patterns and styles.”

Tannenbaum said his company did careful research before choosing to open a store in Southbury, knowing that the area has many homeowners who are looking for the kinds of design solutions his company provides. “This is our second store to open, and we’re excited about meeting the public and showing them the kinds of great pricing and expert service we can deliver.” He said the company’s first store opened in Branford, CT in 1995.

Among the prizes at the Grand Opening will be a certificate worth $1,000 off retail pricing of any Hunter Douglas product offering. The public is invited to visit the new store’s spacious showroom, browse hundreds of fabric solutions in the Custom Cloth area and learn about rebates and promotional pricing that will be available for a limited time on the day of the event and into June.
