A New Era Tees Off At Centennial Golf Club

Golf season is now officially underway, and it’s a new era for the award-winning Centennial Golf Club, a 27-hole public golf facility located in Carmel, NY.

Centennial’s 27-hole course and clubhouse facilities are now managed by Troon Golf, the world’s largest golf management company, with more than 250 golf courses in its portfolio. Centennial joins a very prestigious collection, as 53 Troon facilities enjoy a Top 100 ranking by national or international publications.

Centennial’s golf courses were designed by 3-time major winner, Larry Nelson, who captured the 1983 U.S. Open and the PGA Championship in both 1981 & 1987. Although he has designed over a dozen championship courses worldwide, Nelson calls Centennial’s 340-acre layout, with its rolling hills, ponds, natural rock outcroppings and breathtaking views, "the most naturally suited to golf" he has ever seen.

No matter which nine you play - Meadows, Lakes or Fairways – golfers of all levels will find each hole to be a totally distinct and memorable golfing experience for everyday players, as well as a true test of over 7,100 yards for the most accomplished players.

In addition to great golf, Centennial is also home to Nelson's Tavern, which overlooks the stunning backdrop of Centennial's amazing and unique landscape. Nelson's, which is open to the public daily for breakfast and lunch, offers an exciting menu with a wide variety of fresh and modern items in a relaxed pub atmosphere.
