New Independent Bookshop Planned For Southbury

A family-run bookstore is expected to open later this year in Southbury.

SOUTHBURY, CT — A new independent bookstore is in the works for Southbury, with plans to open later this year on Main Street North.

Little Fox Books is slated to open at 142 Main Street North, bringing a mix of books and gift items to the area. The shop will offer titles for both children and adults, along with items such as puzzles, journals, games and candles.

According to information from the business, the store aims to create a welcoming space where visitors can browse, relax and spend time exploring books.

The shop will be owned and operated by sisters Abby and Maggie Lee, with support from their family as part of a small, family-run business.

In addition to retail offerings, Little Fox Books plans to host events such as author signings, children’s story times and other book-related activities.

Town records show the proposal for the bookstore was approved earlier this year as part of a change of use for the Main Street property.

An opening date has not yet been announced.
