Newbury Musical Theatre Company to Hold Auditions for "SHREK"

Aspiring performers grade 9 through adult are invited to audition for NMTCs summer MainStage Players production of “SHREK”. Auditions for main characters will take place at Main Street Center for the Arts, 124 S. Pomperaug Avenue, Woodbury, on Friday, April 8 from 7-9:30 pm and Saturday, April 9 from 5-8 pm. Callbacks will be on April 29 and 30. College students who are unable to attend auditions will be heard individually by appointment.

Rehearsals for Shrek The Musical will run from June 20-July 15 from 6:30-9:30 pm, and will take place at Main Street Center for the Arts. Technical rehearsals will begin on July 18 and end on July 21, with performances July 22, 23 and 24 at Pomperaug High School in Southbury.

In addition to the MainStage production, NMTC offers a Junior Division production for those in grades 3-8. This summer, the group will stage Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr. on July 15 and 16, 2016. The program begins on June 20 and runs Monday-Friday, from 9-1 pm. Students in the Junior Division will be able to participate in the MainStage performance as well.
