Charles D. White, 88, of Heritage Village, died Thursday, July 6th at his home. He was the husband of Frances (Stevens) White. Mr. White was born December 19, 1928 in Hawthorne, NJ, son of the late Earle and Carrie (Haines) White. He was a proud US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from the phone company in New Jersey after 40 years of service.
He was a former resident of Rockland County, NY and Cape Cod, and an active parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Southbury. Besides his devoted wife of 61 years, he leaves his loving children: Corinne Robertson and her husband, Michael, of Derry, New Hampshire, Sandra Poole and her husband, Dennis, of Nanuet, NY, Steven White of Sandy Hook, CT and Kimberly White of Fair Lawn, New Jersey; one sister, Carol Ringer of Arizona; 8 grandchildren, Michael, Carlene, Frank, Anthony, Christiana, Joseph, Caitlin and Steven, one great-granddaughter, Ella, and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Robert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 22nd at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10 am until 11 a.m. in the daily chapel of Sacred Heart Church. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
