Obituary: Donald E. Beach, 81

Naugatuck – Donald E. Beach, 81,of Naugatuck, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 6th at Griffin Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia (DeToro) Beach. Mr. Beach was born Oct. 4, 1935 in Bridgeport, son of the late James and Hazel (Wilkes) Beach.

He served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1958 aboard the USS Midway and USS Yorktown.

He was a former resident of Southbury for 45 years and worked for Frouge Construction and E & F Construction, both in Bridgeport.

Besides his loving wife of 57 years, he leaves four sons, Donald Beach and his wife, Kelly, of Texas, Tony Beach and his wife, Nancy, of Woodbury, Marty Beach of Naugatuck and Robbin Beach of Bantam; two granddaughters, Samantha and Rachel Beach, and his sister, Carol Knapp of Monroe. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Nov. 10th from 4 to 6 p.m. at Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South, Southbury. Burial is private.
