Southbury – Edward W. Philipp, 64, of Southbury, died Sunday, September 18th in St. Mary’s Hospital VITAS Unit. He was the husband of Nancy (Baker) Philipp.

Ed was born May 23, 1952, in Passaic, NJ, son of Josephine (Capaccio) Philipp of Connecticut, and the late Edward Philipp. He owned his own businesses for more than 40 years.

He was an avid car collector, sports enthusiast and diehard NY Giants and Mets fan. Besides his devoted wife of 32 years, and his mother, he leaves three children: Eric Philipp and his wife, Diana, of New Jersey, Tara Williams and her husband, Scott, of North Carolina and William Philipp of Connecticut; and his cherished granddaughter, Sarah Williams.

He is pre-deceased by his grandson, Drew Williams. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
