Obituary: Elizabeth “Betty” A. Kopp, 86, of Southbury
Betty was active in the Woodbury and Southbury senior centers, where she enjoyed playing cards, bingo and socializing with everyone.

Southbury, CT- Elizabeth “Betty” A. Kopp, 86, wife of the late Joseph W. Kopp, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2017, at Waterbury hospital, with her family by her side. Betty was born on May 17, 1930, in Watervliet, NY to the late Stefan and Elizabeth (Dembicki) Rynecki.
She was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s Degree from Post University. After 25 years, she retired from Uniroyal Chemical and became a licensed Realtor. Betty was active in the Woodbury and Southbury senior centers, where she enjoyed playing cards, bingo and socializing with everyone. Betty is survived by her daughter, Mary O’Neil (Timothy); son, James Kopp (Carina); daughter, Lynn Childs (James); her grandchildren, Amy Weed (Clyde), Daniel Cleary (Tara), Kelsey O’Neil Brackett (John), and Christopher O’ Neil; her great grandchildren, Daniel and Brielle Cleary, and her faithful companion Piper, the family dog.
