Frances D. Lawrence, 85, passed away Tuesday, April 23 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Donald E. Lawrence. Frances was born September 7, 1933, in Harwinton, CT, daughter of Morgan and Laura (Cables) Drake.

Frances had a brief career in the secretarial field, but spent most of her life writing, reading and pursuing genealogy. She was a member of the Writing Club of Heritage Village and published her own book about growing up in Harwinton.
She was a great fan of UCONN girls’ basketball, traveling, going out with family and friends, especially a fun casino day trip. She leaves many nieces and nephews as well as, sister and brother in laws.

A graveside service will be held at the Southford Cemetery, on Tuesday, April 30 10:00 AM.
