Obituary: Geraldine Hylan, 93, of Southbury

Southbury – Geraldine Hylan, a resident of Heriatge Village, died Sunday, October 8, 2017. She was the widow of Thomas J. Hylan. Mrs. Hylan was born January 4, 1924 in Montrose, New York, daughter of the late Michael and Gertrude (Olsten) Morgan.

She attended Hendrick Hudson, Montrose, NY, Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, VA and the Wood Secretarial School in New York. She worked as a secretary for American Can. Before moving to Heritage Village, she and her late husband lived in Fairfield, CT. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Southbury.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Michael Hylan and her grandson, Thomas Peter Hylan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Oct. 11th at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury. Calling hour: Wed. from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. in the chapel of Sacred Heart Church. Burial will take place in Montrose, NY. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
