Obituary: ​Helen E Lord, 85, of Southbury

Helen E Lord, 85, formerly of Heritage Village died July 27, 2018. Ms. Lord was born August 9, 1932 in Waterbury a daughter of the late James A. and Mary L. (Hayes) Lord. She was a graduate of St. Elizabeth College in Convent Station, New Jersey and was a teacher in Waterbury and Needham, Massachusetts. She also taught the Army in Germany and worked as a consultant for the George A Pflaum Publishers of Dayton, Ohio.

She is survived by her brother, Jerome E. Lord of Palm Beach, FL. She also leaves two sisters, Mary L. Dooley of Waterbury, CT and Patricia O’Hara of New City, NY. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 2 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury. Burial will be private.
