Henry L. Hawthorne 83, passed away at his home in Southbury, on December 4th. Henry was born in Tuscaloosa, Alambama, to the late John and Mollie Hawthorne.
Henry was a loving father and grandfather, known to his family and friends as “Old Man”. His passions included working on cars and working to support his family. He was also a lifetime member of the Free and Accepted Masons.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Mary Alice Hawthorne, sons: James Gibson (Elaine), William "Sam" Hawthorne (Lynn) and daughter Gloria Faye Booker. Henry also leaves grandchildren: Clifford (Chrissy), Scott, Raymond, Jamie, Khadijah, James, Jerrod and Alex, and several great grandchildren.
