Services: A memorial service will be held at the South Britain Congregational Church, 693 South Britain Road in Southbury on Monday December 19, 2016 at 11 am. Burial will be held privately.

James G. Pierpont Jr., 50, formerly of Southbury died suddenly Saturday December 10, 2016 at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Jim was born May 8, 1966 in Waterbury, son of Jim and Judy Pierpont of Southbury.

Jim was a 1984 graduate of Pomperaug High School and received his Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University in 1989.

He had worked in construction management for over 20 years, working in Connecticut for Worth Construction and Tomasso Construction where he was instrumental in the remodeling of the Palace Theater and the building of the Arts Magnet School in Waterbury. For the past ten years he had worked for Suffolk Construction in Baltimore, Boston, and California.

Jim was a Past President and Life Member of the Mattatuck Drum Band. Besides his parents he is survived by his special friend Lizeth Cordon of Long Beach, and numerous Aunts and Uncles, their children and grandchildren, spending time in both Connecticut and Prince Edward Island, Canada. Jim was a huge Baltimore Ravens football fan.

Jim had one of the best personalities; his loveable persona and outgoing nature made him the kind of person you wanted to spend time with.
