Obituary: ​John Leland Zimmerman, of Southbury

John Leland Zimmerman of Heritage Village, Southbury, Ct past to the Lord on April 5, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1926 he resided in Rockville Center, NY before moving to Heritage Village in Southbury, CT. Upon graduating in 1946 from Yale with a degree in economics he became an Economic Forecaster for Bethlehem Steel in Bethlehem, PA.

Was an active member of Heritage Village Finance Committee: former President of Heritage Village Condo 15: Deacon at the Congregational Church in Southbury, CT, and a participant in UCC Bible class. Heritage Village Concert Society talent coordinator, Heritage Singers participant, and cellist with Morning Musicale were some of his passions. Jack will be missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his beloved Lorraine, his sister Maridon Gibson of Vermont and his cousin Molly Anderson of Italy. A memorial gathering will be held Friday May 25, 2018 at 1pm at the United Church of Christ Memorial Garden 283 Main St. North, Southbury.
