Southbury – Josephine P. Philipp, 92, died peacefully after a brief illness, Wednesday, June 14th at Vitas Inpatient Unit of St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.

She was the wife of the late Edward Philipp. Mrs. Philipp was born April 12, 1925, in Lyndhurst, NJ, a daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie Capaccio. She leaves her sister, Anne Kanouse of Hackettstown, NJ, her daughter in law, Nancy Philipp of Southbury, 3 grandchildren, William Philipp of Bethel, Eric Philipp of Paterson, NJ and Tara Williams of Denver, NC; and 1 great granddaughter, Sarah Williams of Denver, NC. She was pre-deceased by her son, Edward W. Philipp.
