Her greatest pleasure was raising her four children and after the family moved from Long Island up to Somers NY, Karol quickly adapted to country life, enjoying gardening, tennis, golf, and her children's horse shows. As a member of the gardening club and horticulture society she received many ribbons for her beautiful flower arrangements.
She loved the outdoors and was known for her winter sleigh riding and fondue parties. For a number of years she served as a Literacy Volunteer and became dear friends with one of her first students from China, Mr. David Pang and his family where she joined them for many Chinese New Year's celebrations. Karol leaves behind many friends and family including her beloved sister, Alma Lutzker and many nieces and nephews who will carry her in their hearts forever.
