Obituary: Marjorie Sheehan, 97, of Southbury

Southbury, CT - Marjorie Sheehan, 97, of Southbury, died Friday, July 6th in St. Mary’s Hospital VITAS Unit in Waterbury. She was the widow of James J. Sheehan.

Mrs. Sheehan was born June 9, 1921, in Fitchburg, MA, daughter of the late John and Eva (Boisseau) Monaghan. She had worked as manager for Wallach’s men’s and women’s clothing. Formerly of Framingham, MA, she moved to Southbury 20 years ago.

She leaves her loving son, Mark Sheehan and his wife, Shaye, of Southbury, with whom she lived, and two grandchildren, Alaina Boyd and her husband, Donald, and James Sheehan. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Dorothy DiGiovanni and brother, John Monaghan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 11th at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury. Calling hours: Wed. morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass in the chapel of Sacred Heart Church. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury, CT.
