Melitta B. Pagano, 94, formerly of Heritage Village died Sunday May 28, 2017 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. Mrs. Pagano was born September 24, 1922 In Atco, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of the late Gerald Pagano. In World War Two, she served in the Women’s Marine Corp as a radio operator at the Marine Air Station, Quantico, VA. After the war she attended Columbia University. She had worked as a Corporate Receptionist for International Paper and Hilti Internatonal, both of Stamford, CT, before her retirement. Locally, she was an Adjutant for the American Legion Post of Southbury.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey G. Pagano and his wife Dawn E. Pagano, her grandson Michael-Jon Pagano and his wife Caitlyn M. Pagano, and two great grandchildren Jacob G. and Khrystina A. Pagano all of Jensen Beach Florida.

A private burial service will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Home, 990 Main Street North, Southbury, CT 06488.
