Obituary: Olive V. (Richardson) Fidgeon, 94, of Southbury
She served as Directress of the Altar Guild most recently at the Church of the Epiphany in Southbury.

FIDGEON, Olive “Olivia” V. (Richardson) 94, of Southbury, CT passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 5, 2017. The daughter of late Walter and Ida Grace Richardson, she was born April 26, 1922 in (Woodhaven, NY). Olivia was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Milton “Bud”, in 1990.
She is survived by her son, Richard Crawford Fidgeon and his wife Megan of Jacksonville, FL, and daughter, Lynn Jeanne Scibelli of Hanover, MA; three grandchildren, Ryan Fidgeon and his wife Erika, Lindsay Cooper and her husband Scott, and Ashley Leduc and her husband Marc;as well as four great-grandchildren, Madeline Fidgeon, Bodie Fidgeon, Mallory Cooper, and Piper Olive Leduc.

She also leaves her sister-in-law, Kelly Richardson, her sister-friend and wife of her predeceased little brother, Walter Richardson, as well as her nephews, Todd and Lee Richardson.
Olivia attended Centenary Junior College. She enjoyed a retail career as a buyer for the Accessories Department of Forbes and Wallace Department store located in Springfield, MA. She was faithfully involved in the Episcopal church community throughout her life serving for over seventy years as a member of the Altar Guild. Olivia served as Directress of the Altar Guild at the Episcopal Church of the Atonement in Westfield, MA, and most recently the Church of the Epiphany in Southbury, CT.

A Service of Thanksgiving will be celebrated on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, 262 Main St N, Southbury, CT 06488.
