Penni Sue Rosen of Southbury, CT. April 4, 2018. Daughter of late Barbara and Nathan Rosen of Columbia, CT & Ocala, FL. Beloved Mother of Eric Meyers of New York City & late Jessica Meyers of Southbury, CT. Sister to Gail (& Eugene) Vaccaro of Framingham, MA; Frank (& Cindy) Rosen of Littlestown, PA; Jodi Rosen of Dummerston, VT. Loving aunt to 11 nieces & nephews, beloved niece & sister-in-law.
Longtime friend of Lawrence Label of Newington, CT. Born in Willimantic, CT; raised in Columbia, CT; BS at ECSU, MS in Forensic Science at University of New Haven; 18 years as Evidence Control Officer & “face of the CT State Forensic Lab.” When she was younger she took joy in surprise family car rides, going down to the dairy, being a lifeguard, and swimming in Columbia Lake.

Later on she enjoyed swimming, walking in the park, going to her children’s sports and community events, going to Animals for Life in Middlebury & visiting the dogs, reading Stephen King novels, watching Food Channel, Bachelor, and Forensic Crime shows. Loved dressing up for Halloween and competing in the chili cook-off at work, hosting and attending family events.
Services will be held Tuesday April 10th, 2018 from 12-2pm at Munson-Lovetere in Southbury, CT. Burial immediately following at Melchizedik Cemetery, Waterbury, Ct. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animals for Life (Middlebury, CT - https://animalsforlife.org/) or American Diabetes Association (donations.diabetes.org).
