Southbury – Richard M. Platt, Jr., 74, died Wed. April 11, 2018 at Beacon Brook Health Center in Naugatuck.
Richard was born Nov. 7, 1943, in Waterbury, son of the late Richard M. and Helen (Whitehead) Platt, Sr. He was a life-long resident of Southbury, and worked at Platt’s Rustic Fences and the Southbury Training School for many years.

He leaves his two sons, Richard K. Platt and his wife, Susann, and Stephen E. Platt, all of Naugatuck; his grandchildren, Cassie and Karl Platt; two brothers, Lawrence Platt of Livingston, MT and Allan Platt of Eastford, CT and 2 nieces and 1 nephew. He is pre-deceased by his brother, Ralph Platt and sister, Elaine Platt.
