Obituary: Robert C. Banks, Sr. 85, formerly of Southbury

Thomaston – Robert C. Banks, Sr. 85, formerly of Southbury, died Saturday, Feb. 4th at River Glen Health Care Center. He was the husband of Christine (Warner) Banks. Bob was born October 13, 1931 in Fairfield, son of the late Henry Pierson and Sarah (Ferris) Banks. He worked for the Town of Southbury and retired as a custodian from Region 15 School District.

He loved going to the country fairs, participating in the oxen draws and enjoyed watching the horse draws. He leaves two sons, Donald H. Banks and his wife, Cheryl, and John J. Banks and his wife, Lisa, all of Southbury; his grandchildren, Michele St. Pierre of Oakville, Kimberly Kocsinski of New Jersey, Elizabeth Banks of Jersey City, New Jersey and Ryan Banks of Oakville; and three great-grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his son, Robert C. Banks Jr. and his former wife, Alice (Judson) Banks.
