Obituary: Rose M. Lenz, 90, of Southbury

Southbury - Rose M. Lenz, 90, died Saturday, May 5th at The Hearth. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Lenz. Mrs. Lenz was born November 5, 1927 in Ridgewood, Queens, NY, daughter of the late Albert and Maria (Struen) Schaefer. Formerly of Elmont, NY and Heritage Village for 25 years, she and her husband totally enjoyed their retirement. She lived her last years at The Hearth, where she was affectionately known as “Rosie Rose.”

She leaves three children: Nancy Lenz and her husband, Mario Cancellieri, of Wading River, NY, Karen Condren, and her husband, David, of Avon, CT; and Frank Lenz of Shirley, NY; her sister, Magdalene Sorrentino of Newtown, CT; and 2 grandsons, Scott Condren of Washington, DC and Trevor Condren and his wife, Melissa, of Boston. She is pre-deceased by her daughter, Susan Lenz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Southbury. Calling hour: Saturday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in the chapel of the church. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
