Services: Services will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 at All Saints Episcopal Church, calling hours from 9am to 10am. Service will be at 10am with the burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Southbury, CT

Ruth Munson Cronin, wife of the late James F. Cronin, of Southbury passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born August 1, 1928, in Bethlehem CT, Daughter of Jennie and William Munson. Ruth loved being home with her family and Ireland was her favorite place to visit. She was an avid fan of the UCONN girls’ basketball team. Ruth worked for 35 years at the Roxbury Market.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Colleen C. Mailhot and her husband Phillip of Watertown, son in law John Samela of Ansonia, Daughter in law Gabriele Cronin of Warren, sister Helen Blazys of Watertown, sister Doris Buinauskas and husband Ken of Woodbury, brother John Munson and his wife Carol of Oxford. She also leaves behind 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren who were the love of her life as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, James F. Cronin, her son James, daughter Kathleen, and son Kevin. She was also predeceased by her brother, Richard Munson of Woodbury, William Munson of Oakville, Robert Munson of Roxbury, and Kenny Munson of Southbury.

Services will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 at All Saints Episcopal Church, calling hours from 9am to 10am. Service will be at 10am with the burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Southbury, CT

Memorials: In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Kathleen C.B. Samela Food Bank, 56 south Cliff St. Ansonia, CT.
