In addition, the location in Southbury houses a separate human crematory. Stone Family Cremation Services opened early in May 2017. To more efficiently serve the clientele of Munson-Lovetere, Mark and Lissa Stone felt it was necessary to be able to provide cremation services from beginning to end; with the client never leaving their chain of custody. “It just makes sense” says Mark Stone in a statement, “that we be able to provide these services for our cremation customers, and that they will be cared for locally and compassionately.”

Not far from downtown Southbury, the 4,000 square-foot building is built to resemble a colonial structure. “Our aim was for it not to look like a crematory, and not to hide it in an industrial park ” says Lissa in a statement. Inside the building is modern crematory equipment; including separate spaces for human and pets, clearly divided by the well-designed layout. Just one of the features of the handsome interior is the Rainbow Bridge room, a room specifically designed to provide Pet Parents a comforting place to say their final goodbyes.
