Police: Danbury Man Speeds, Drives Drunk in Southbury

He was clocked going 75 mph in a 45-mph zone.

A Danbury man faces drunk driving and other charges after operating his vehicle erratically in Southbury.

The Republican-American said Thomas LaClair, 33, was spotted by police around 2:17 a.m. Sunday weaving and speeding on Route 67.

He was allegedly going as fast as 75 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Once police pulled him over, they determined he was intoxicated. LaClair admitted he had been drinking beer, police said.

He was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, operating with a suspended license and traveling an unreasonable speed, the Republican-American reported.

LaClair was released on a $1,000 bond.
