Police Find Stolen Gun In Southbury: Report

A vehicle was stopped initially for a traffic violation, police said.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Jermaine Gilbert, 19, of Waterbury, is accused of being in possession of a stolen handgun while stopped in Southbury on Main Street South, the Republican-American reports.

Gilbert was stopped on June 18 and given a $5,000 bond. The car was stopped for a traffic violation and police found a stolen 9 mm handgun, the Rep-Am reports.
