Police Solve 3-Year-old Attempted Break-In In Southbury: Report

The key piece of evidence was dried blood left at the scene by the accused, according to a report.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Police say Besmir Leonardo Redzepi, 23, of Mark Lane in Waterbury is responsible for the attempted break-in of a Fish Rock Road house that was under construction three years ago, the Republican-American reports.

The Rep-Am says that dried blood on a broken window panel at the house led to Redzepi's arrest. The police officer, Anthony Armeno, witnessed the blood on a broken window and after a forensic review it was matched up to Redzepi, who was taken into custody by Waterbury Police and then turned over to Armeno.

The attempted burglary occurred all the way back on March 27, 2014.
