Police: Southbury Man Destroys Glasses, Injures Himself

Southbury police say Jake Sturges, 23, of 10 Lanape Trail is accused of destroying drinking glasses, removing a pair of eyeglasses from a relative’s face, leaving the scene, and then banging his head while in police custody causing him to go the hospital for treatment, the Republican-American reports.

The incident began at 12:40 a.m. Saturday and ended around 2 a.m. on Chain Trail.

He faces a larceny and breach of peace charge.
