Polly Bergen Dies at Her Southbury Home
The actress passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Emmy winning actress Polly Bergen died at her Southbury home on Saturday morning, Fox Connecticut reports.
Bergen, 84, died surrounded by her family, close friends and and long-time manager Jan McCormack, her publicist announced on Facebook.
Bergen first appeared on screen in the movie, “Across the Rio Grande” in 1949, the news channel reports. She was nominated for several awards including her 2008 nomination for outstanding guest actress in “Desperate Housewives” where she portrayed Lynette Scavo’s mother.

Her publicist announced that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Planned Parenthood, an organization that Bergen supported.
