Pomperaug High School Runners Qualify for State Open

Both the boys and girls teams made it into this Friday's Open thanks to excellent performances Saturday at the class meet.

MANCHESTER, CT — Pomperaug High School will be represented in both races at the State Open cross country championships this Friday at Wickham Park in Manchester.

At the Class L meet Saturday, also at Wickham Park, the girls team won with a total of 62 points, far outdistancing runnerup Wilton's 103. The boys team compiled 73 points to place second behind champion New Milford's 54.
