Over 500 students representing more than 30 high schools from the southern region of Connecticut participated. Students auditioned in November and were chosen to participate in the festival based on those results.

“Students had the opportunity to work with outstanding conductors and we were honored to have Pomperaug High School so well represented with 18 students participating in the CMEA Concert Band, Orchestra, Mixed Choir, and Treble Choir. Many of these students will be going on to audition for the All – State Music Festival in April, which is the highest level of music competition within the state. Congratulations to all these fine musicians!” said Linda Hughes, Music Teacher at PHS.
